Welcome to Episode Fifty-Three of Do You Dare?
HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY DO YOU DARE?
This week we celebrate our birthday episode with the case of a con man/ serial killer and his murder castle…
(Trigger warnings: child murder, brief mentions of suicide)
In this episode Em covers the case of Herman Webster Mudgett - better known to most as the infamous H.H.Holmes.
Follow along as we dive into a case that’s tricky to figure the facts from the fictitious due to our killers propensity for scheming, scamming and pseudonyms. Was the inside of his ‘castle’ really as brutal as the press made it seem? Did he really have upwards of 200 victims? Was his first kill at only 11?Was he also the infamous Jack the Ripper? Or was this con artist more morbid myth than what you’ve heard?
Thanks to everyone who has joined us for this week's case and we hope to see you back next episode when we kick off our ‘Missing May’ theme with Cian sharing the story of a high profile figure who disappeared at sea.
